When we moved into this house, I was pretty excited to pull together a new room for Marley. As much as I loved her old one, it was almost too big and I always felt like there was something missing from the space. This room is my dream room for a child, from the reading nook, with a window seat, to the double closets. It’s been a lot of fun pulling it all together and searching for the final pieces it was missing. You might recognize a few pieces from her nursery as well, I have such an attachment to that butterfly mobile, as it was the first thing I purchased when we found out that she was a girl.
The walls are painted Benjamin Moore Elephant Pink 2087-70, and the back wall behind her bed is Benjamin Moore Ribbon Pink 2087-60 both colors that Marley picked herself. Someone is a pink fanatic, and she comes by it naturally.
All of the furniture (bed, nightstand, shelf & dresser), is from IKEA. I love the shelf, that we decided to put on its side, it provides awesome toy and book storage without looking cluttered. The little reading chair is the Anywhere Chair from Pottery Barn.
Her duvet cover is the Lily collection, and the sheets Chamois in light pink, both from Pottery Barn. We couldn’t get through bed time routine without the Twilight Turtle and the Gro Clock. I highly recommend and love these products.
I found these amazing pictures on Etsy, after looking everywhere for something that screamed Marley and would compliment her room. These 3 prints were purchased from Etsy shop Tascha’s Online Art Gallery , and are so beautiful. Tascha has put a lot of fun and love into her creations, and I couldn’t be more happy with them. She has been generous enough to offer my readers a 10% discount on any print of your choice! Enter the code “TIEALITTLERIBBON10″ at the checkout and redeem before January 1st!
The lamp is a DIY that I am hoping to post here soon!
Curtains are Ruffle Blackout Panel, with the Butterfly Finals and Holdbacks, all from Pottery Barn.
Mini Christmas tree and decorations from Target
We are really in love with this room, it suits Marley perfectly, little Miss Girly Girl. She helped pick out almost everything, and loves having her own little space. It’s pretty cool to peek in and see her sprawled out on the floor, playing with her Fisher Price doll house, or curled up in her little chair, ‘reading’ a book to herself. I’m pretty stoked to see the way this room changes and grows with her through the years, but I’m confident that we gave her a room she will love for years to come.
